On Friday, Open AI announced that it will test ads in the Free version of ChatGPT for logged- in users in the United States.
The company is also launching a new $ 8 per month “Go” plan with added features like longer memory and more image creation options. Both free and Go users will see ads, while Plus, Pro users and business customers will continue to use ChatGPT without advertisements.
Initially, ChatGPT with ads personalization will be rolled out in U.S and move towards other European and Asian nations. However, the company further implies that output generated by ChatGPT will not be influenced by the ads, as advertisements will be separated from the chatbot responses and the algorithm will remain unchanged.
