Arsenal overcame the first-leg deficit to beat Rennes and reach the Europa League quarter-finals

Arsenal aiming to win the competition for the first time under manager Unai Emery, overcame the loss with the second leg match against Rennes for 3-0(4-3 agg.). Arsenal were knocked out in the semi-finals of the Europa League last season under Arsene Wenger. Despite trailing 3-1 from the first leg and needing to score at least twice, Arsenal remained favourites to progress to the quarter-finals and they got off to a brilliant start.

Man of the match - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put Arsenal in front by giving a score's lead in the 5th minute of the game. Aubameyang continued to play with confidence, trying an audacious overhead kick in the first half, before poking in Arsenal's third goal in the 72 minutes. Ainsley Maitland Niles gave the secong goal for Arsenal at the 15th minute of the game.
